Health care team with patient

The Center for Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research (CIPER) acts as a hub for interprofessional education and collaborative practice for Creighton University and its academic health partner, CHI Health. CIPER provides resources for student, faculty and clinician development on IPE and supports both didactic and clinical IPE activities for faculty and students.

CIPER is part of the Nexus Innovations Network supported by the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education

IPE Course Approval

IPE courses are approved through the IPE Curriculum and Assessment committee, an interprofessional team of faculty that have expertise in the interprofessional field. A common syllabi template has been drafted to be used for all IPE  courses within the Health Sciences. This ensures a clear approval process cycle with curricula assessment and outcomes identified. The common syllabi template ensures all criteria for IPE and accreditation(s) have been met.

Vision Statement

Cultivate leaders who act as moral agents and transform health care and promote health through intentional interprofessional collaboration.

Mission

Grounded in the principles of social justice, CIPER will be a national leader in interprofessional education, research, and collaborative care  with excellent educational programs, cutting edge scholarship, and optimal clinical outcomes.
